Do many people spell your name wrong? Where does it come from?

Great starter Question, nearly everyone, The Name is Russian as is my Mother and Alexei was the name of the head of the Russian Othadox church when I was born.

Do you have a middle Name?

Yes, Michilovich, Ok its also Russian and it means son of Michael, which is my dads name

What is your Family Background Russian?

My Mother comes for a City in Siberia called Kemerovo where she was my Father’s interpreter and he is English

What is your favourite course you have played?

Royal Birkdale, I played there in the 2017 Junior Open, it was two weeks after the Open and all the stands were still up so when I played the 18th my drive went past the bunker on the left and my approach shot left me an eagle Putt.

What is your favourite course you have not played?

Augusta National, Green Jackets suit me

Which is your favourite Hole and Why

I have not played it but its in my dreams 16th at Augusta National because of the history and the skimming the ball over the water shot.

Which Player do you follow most avidly?

Tiger Woods, I strongly believe he will make a full comeback

You are known by your Long Hitting, what was your longest drive, and where?

420 yards on the American Course at La Cala Spain in 2016 on the 18th hole which is a dogleg with a down hill to the left.

Have you ever hit a hole in one

Yes, (check out my page "Aces in the Bag") back in 2016 at Branston’s Eagle course 6th hole in the Riverside Cup, it was only 114 yards but what a great feeling.

Why did you start playing golf?

You can see a photograph of me at 18 months with my Dad Helping me hold a 5 iron, but it was only when I was 4 years old that I met Iain Ross who taught me at Branston.

Who started your hunger for golf?

It was my Dad that took me round the 9 hole course and then the 18 hole course and of course my parents then drove me to competitions and made my sandwiches!

What is your Golfing ambition?

To be a successful tournament golfer and make a living from Golf.

For any younger golfer what advice would you give them?

Just play on the golf course, be competitive and like Gary Player said, “it was strange, the more I practiced the LUCKIER I was”

IS golf just about hitting a ball?

No it is such a combination of skills needed to hit a one inch target with a stick 1½ yard Long to make it go 300 yards away its has more to do with Training, Physical, Fitness and body / eye coordination and PRACTICE

Which Pro has inspired you the most?

Tiger Woods, I hope his fitness allows him a full comeback.
